Vee Sanford, a 6-3 sophomore guard who played the past two years at Georgetown, will transfer to UD, according to the Dayton Daily News. Sanford averaged just 2.4 points in 6.6 minutes per game last year for the Hoyas, but he’ll have a year off to get his game up to A-10 standards.
Sanford is the second big addition for new coach Archie Miller, who snagged French prospect Alexandre Gavrilovic just a last week. After player after player leaving UD under Brian Gregory, this is a welcome change.
